When will we go?

The past couple weeks have been so busy, so please forgive me for not updating more. Mom finally got her passport, after paying the extra fee (imagine that), so I just sent my packet to the courier that is assisting me in obtaining our Visas for the trip. There is now a six day turnaround on the Visas, so we should have them by the end of next week. I still have not received my "official" travel arrangments, yet, but my China coordinator said that the person who signs these, in China, has been out, so maybe these will get signed within the next week. The Swine Flu ordeal is causing havoc in the adoption world right now. Some provinces are not allowing families to travel until this thing is under a little more control, and while it is so hard to wait another minute, I do respect them for thinking of our children and their health - we definitely DO NOT want another SARS-like situation over there. Please say a special prayer for my family and all the other families who are waiting for our children, as the wait is very hard, and now being told we may have to wait longer, that makes the wait almost unbearable.

On a happier note, the past two weekends brought many gifts to my sweet girl. My family gave us a shower the Saturday before Mother's Day, and my church family gave us one just this past Sunday - just let me say that my Mia will be one cute dressed little girl when she gets home! And, my house is beginning to look like Wal Mart! Mia and I are so blessed to have the family, friends, and a church family we have. This little girl has no idea how many people love her, and can hardly wait for her to be home. Thank you, everyone, for all the gifts! We love you all!!!

On the school front, everything is over for this semester, and yes I PASSED ALGEBRA AND STATISTICS - it wasn't pretty, but I passed! I am actually looking forward to the break for a couple months. I have already registered for next semester, and it looks like a pretty good schedule, so I will only be away from Mia one night a week...yea!

I hope that the next update says that I have confirmed travel arrangements, and that my plane tickets have already been purchased. Keep praying! Until next time, Peace and Grace to all!!
