The journey begins...

I began the journey to my daughter in late December 2005, when I placed my name on the waiting list for a singles "spot" with Children's Hope International (CHI). I received a call in November 2006, a couple weeks before Thanksgiving, from CHI, asking if I was still interested in a singles spot, because they had two spots open at that time. I asked if I could have the weekend to think about it (what was I thinking...I was in shock!), and they said "of course." I called CHI on the following Monday and told them that I would love to take that open spot. On that Monday morning I stepped out on faith, and the long journey to my daughter began.
