Coming Home

This is my last post from China...Thank you, Lord!! I am so grateful to this country because it was given me the greatest gift that I could ever receive, but I am sooooo ready to be back home in the USA. We will be leaving for the airport at 6:30am on Friday morning (5:30pm Thursday USA time). I have visited a part of this world that I never thought I woul see. I have experienced many things these past two that I never thought that I would experience. But most of all, I became a Mom to the most precious little 5 year old that God ever created. I am so unworthy of this tremendous blessing that God has given me, and I will forever praise him for this gift. We serve a God that is truely awesome, and if I didn't already know that, then the things that I have witnessed these past couple weeks surely proved it. My God is so good! See you all in a couple days. We love you all more than you know!! Until next time, Peace and Grace to all!!!

Today was an emotional moment in the adoption process as we took the oath from the American Consulate, and we said good-bye to our dear friends the Stubblefields. Tammy, Chris, Morgan & Ava - we miss you already...(sniff, sniff). Only two more night here in Guangzhou then we are bound for the USA...Praise the Lord!!!

Enjoy the pics of my sweet baby in her red, white and blue as she holds the American flag - this makes a Momma sooo proud. Who knew a heart could feel so much love!!!

Remember us in your prayers as we travel - see you all on Friday. Until next time, Peace and Grace to all!!

4 More Nights

Sorry I haven't updated in a few days, but we have been so busy with appointments and sightseeing that there hasn't been much time. Mia passed her medical exam with flying colors, and her TB skin test was negative - thank you, Lord!! We went to the Chen Family Temple, which is now a museum, and the Guangzhou Zoo. We spent July 4th on Shamian Island, but no celebrations like at home, just shopping! We really missed hamburgers, hotdogs, ice cream, watermelon, and fireworks on the 4th,but at least we did proudly wear our red, white and blue!

Mia is doing great, I couldn't be any more pleased with her attachment and bonding - it's amazing. She has even started to test boundaries, and let's just say that the girl knows that Momma is boss and will win the battle everytime. She is repeating everything, and we have been playing with the Sesame Street website to learn numbers and letters. She can count to 5 and is working on her ABC's - my baby is too smart!!

We are counting the days until we are on our way home - just 4 more nights here, then we are USA bound - it can't come soon enough, we are soooo ready to be home. Please continue to remember us in your prayers as we travel home. Until next time, Peace and Grace to all!!

Not a lot to report today, the children had to get thier photo made for their passport, and we had to go for medical exams. Everyone did great - everyone passed! Mia continues to attach and bond extremely well - she definitely knows who her Momma is. We have a free day on Thursday, so hopefully we can do some shopping and get Mia's hair trimmed - the girl needs her hair trimmed. Enjoy the pics!! Until next time, Peace and Grace to all!!!
