Having a great school year...
We are having a great school year! Mia is doing amazingly well at school - I am so proud of her!! We had our first parent/teacher conference this week, and I got a great report - my girl is very smart, but we knew that, right!! Her teacher thinks that she will be fluent in English by Christmas, but I think it will be before then. Mia is able to say most anything she wants, but if she doesn't know the words, then she says "Momma, come here, I show you..." We have been home eight weeks, and you would never know that we have been in each other's lives for just over nine weeks. I am so blessed to have been given a most precious child. God has been so good to me!!!
Also, another first for Mia this month was Football Time in Tennessee!! As you can see in the pics, my girl proudly wears her orange and white - that makes this TN Momma very proud!!
We got to go to our first birthday party in the USA - Mia's cousin Ruthie celebrated her 2nd birthday by having a jump party, and Mia LOVED it!! I have a feeling we will be visiting that place, again!!
Well, Momma started back to school two weeks ago, and I am away on Tuesday nights, which is proving to be a little hard for Mia, because she won't go night, night until Momma gets home from school, and that is at least 10:00pm. I have noticed that she cries on Wednesday mornings after I have been away at school on Tuesdays, because she wants me to pick her up at school...this makes me feel so guilty for leaving her, but I know that I am doing this all for her!!!
Hope you all enjoy the pics!! Until next time, Peace and Grace to all!!

We're Going to School!
What an eventful week we've had. First, Mia went to her Hematologist and he said that I have a very healthy little girl on my hands, and we don't have to come back to see him...THANK YOU, LORD!! So many prayers have been answered regarding Mia's health and I am so thankful to God for his many blessings.
Secondly, my sweet angel went to school this week! Mia had a great first day of school...NO TEARS, at least from Mia, but Momma was a different story. I am, for the most part, a very strong person, but when I saw a stranger take my baby down that hallway, I couldn't keep it together...tears began to flow. I am so glad Mia didn't see me crying, but I couldn't control the emotions I was feeling. It was very hard for me to go back home, because I wanted my baby ther with me, but I did make it home and managed to go a little much needed cleaning. We were to pick our children up at 2:30, but I just couldn't wait that long, so I got to school at 2:15 and sat in the lobby...I know, one of THOSE parents! As I was working on some things, to pass the time, I saw my angel rounding the corner, second in line, and when she saw me she starting yelling "Momma"...now the tears started, again. My sweet baby ran right into my arms, and said " I love you so much!" This was another milestone for Mia, because this showed her that Momma had come back to get her, and that she had not been left...big day for her! I have been very careful to tell her ever and over again that Momma will always come back to get you, so that she doesn't worry that she is being left again. My baby was talking 90 miles an hour telling me about all the things she had done in her first day at school. As the picture shows, she made the cutest little sunvisor, and was so excited. I can't tell you have relieved I was to see that she enjoyed being at school. So now, we will see how Monday goes, since she will be going every day starting next week. Also, Momma goes back to work, and it will be interesting to see how I juggle being a fulltime Mom, employee, and student - if you have an extra prayer to spare, please say it for me! Until next time, Peace and Grace to all!!

Mia's new haircut
Much Needed Update
Well friends, this is my first update since returning home from China. I wanted to spend every minute of the past four weeks with my sweet angel, so I decided to not post until now. We have had a wonderful four weeks at home. Mia has adapted to everything and everyone so well, it's as if we have been mother and daughter since the day of her birth. God has blessed me with a beautiful, smart, and funny little girl, and I have had a ball these past few weeks. We have registered for PreK and Mia should be going a day this week or next, and will start full time on the 17th. We have talked about Mia going to school and Momma going to work, and my swwet gilr isn't very happy about this - she wants Momma to stay at home...just let me tell you, this breaks my heart to not be able to stay with her. I never thought that it would be so hard to go back to work, but everytime I start thinking about it, the tears start rolling.
I am including some pics of my sweet girl. She has changed so much these past few weeks, not only in her actions, but her looks, too - she got a major haircut this past week. My goal is to update this blog at least weekly, but hopefully more often. Well, I am off to spend some quality time with my girl, this last week home. Hope you all enjoy the pics. Until next time, peace and Grace to all!!!
